Saint Benedict Academy Alumnae Association President Barbara Hammill Brown, '67, standing, presented Sister Dianne Sabol, '70, left, director of the Saint Benedict Community Center, and Sister Christine Vladimiroff, '57, right, with the news that the alumnae annual phonathon raised more than $40,000 in 2003. Saint Benedict Community Center:
Linking Body and Spirit

The newest ministry of the Benedictine Sisters is an eastside neighborhood recreational and meeting center. After purchasing the former Saint Mary’s Auditorium from the Erie Catholic Diocese, we did extensive renovations and renamed the facility the Saint Benedict Community Center. The Center provides recreational opportunities for neighborhood children and those in the Erie community who have special needs and face mental or physical challenges. The Center also serves as a gathering space for religious and civic organizations.
