Spirit of the Seasons is a retreat based on the four seasons in the creation-centered spirituality tradition. The retreat incorporates prayer, meditation, discussion, creative leisure, physical activity and celebration. Overnight accomodations at the monastery on Friday and/or Saturday night are available. Retreatants who choose to stay Saturday night are invited to Sunday morning prayer and liturgy in the monastery chapel. Prayer is at 8:30 a.m. and liturgy at 9:30 a.m.

Mid-Life Directions for Personal and Spiritual Growth is a weekend workshop for adults in the second half of life. It incorporates Judeo-Christian spirituality, Jungian and developmental psychology and individual experience in the process of self-discovery.

The weekend is:
• a time to look at mid-life as a crisis, transition and renaissance
• a time to ask anew the ultimate question: What is the purpose of life?
• a time to unleash the dynamism of the second half of life
• a time to allow past, present and future to come together anticipating my coming integration
• a time to reflect on deepest beliefs as they illumine life

Resident: $190.00 includes program, meals and two overnights
Commuter: $150.00 includes program and meals

Listening Point, three hermitages located in the woods within five minutes of the monastery, can accommodate one or two people each. Each hermitage is heated and equipped with a kitchen; guests may bring their own food or eat at the monastery. Early reservations are encouraged for hermitage stays, especially April through October. Guests are welcome to share in community prayer, meals and have use of the library and grounds. Hermitages are not accessible by car, walk-in availability only.

Registration cancellation should be done with a minimum of 72-hours advance notice.

Donations for lodging and meals (if taken at the monastery) are based on personal means.

Single occupancy guest rooms are also available in the guest wing of the monastery. Hermitages and guest rooms are available to both men and women.

Spiritual direction is available by appointment, $25.00 per conference hour

In the spirit of Benedictine hospitality, three hermitages located in the woods within five minutes of Mount St. Benedict Monastery are available for guests.

The monastery is situated on 80 acres that includes wooded areas, a stream and, across East Lake Road, lake front property on Lake Erie. Walking trails connect all areas of the grounds.

Reflection Days for Women in Transition
Sister Carolyn Gorny-Kopkowski, OSB, and Oblate Joanne Cahill announce Reflection Days: An invitation for all women in transition due to change in career, marital status, or living situation, or dealing with separations and death, recovery programs or other transitions.

The program is offered on Saturdays, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. at Mount St. Benedict Monastery.

Reflection Days 2007 is based on the book, 25 Windows into the Soul: Praying with the Psalms by Joan Chittister, OSB, and includes presentations, prayer and ritual, activities, private reflection, shared insights and a buffet lunch.

There is no fee.

Registration is required the Monday prior to the Reflection Day.
