Mount St. Benedict Chapel Renovation Progress
August 2006 - June 2007

After nearly three years of conversation, planning and prayerful decision-making, renovation began on the chapel at Mount St. Benedict Monastery on August 1. The Erie Benedictines are grateful for the support of many generous donors that has made this work of repair and improvement possible. This frequently updated page will help keep all our benefactors and friends across the country informed on renovation rogress. The new chapel will be blessed in April 2007. Flattening the chapel floor.
A major piece of the chapel renovation that was recently completed was flattening the steeply inclined floor. The space was filled and cement was poured eleminating the steps to the sanctuary.
