Chapter 7 - Eighth Step of Humility

The eighth step of humility is that we do only what is endorsed by the common rule of the monastery and the example set by the prioress. (RB 7:55)

Am I willing to be guided by another?
Do I believe the Way of Benedict is worthwhile for me?

The spiritual journey that Benedict describes is one that is just, fair, moderate, balanced, reasonable, and communal.

Possibly the greatest humility we can show to others is to walk with them gently and make it easier for Christ to be seen.
