Art House Holiday Tradition
Inner-city Neighborhood Art House children had a great time continuing the holiday tradition of cookie decorating. Maggie Stolley, a member of the Women's Core Committee, organized the first cookie decorating session 15 years ago, and it is still as delightful for the children as it was that very first time.
Each child was given four cut-out cookies and a host of decorating materials to create their own cookie designs. Clearly, no two cookies looked the same as colored frosting, sprinkles, miniature candies and more were turned into edible masterpieces.
Renie Louis, current coordinator for this annual tradition, was joined by Core Committee members Denise Illig Robison and Bobbi Pollock, and by Brady Louis and Matt Robison. They provided the materials for this December 7 event and assisted the children who came to the "cookie lab" in groups of 10 for their turn at this holiday tradition.
