Diocese of Erie Celebrates Women Religious Jubilarians
This year is a special one for the six Benedictine Sisters of Erie who are celebrating their jubilees and they were among those who were invited to the Diocesan celebration of Women Religious Jubilarians. The annual event, hosted by Bishop Trautman, Bishop of the Diocese of Erie, began with a Eucharistic Liturgy and continued with a special dinner. Sister Nancy Fischer, SSJ, director of the Diocesan Office for Religious, was integral to the planning of a lovely evening which proved to be most enjoyable. Of this year’s Benedictine jubilarians, three were able to attend: Sisters Cecilia Sullivan (60 years), Theresa Zoky (50 Years) and Anne McCarthy (25 years). They were accompanied by Sisters Anne Wambach and Susan Doubet, prioress and subprioress. Unable to attend were: Sisters Dona Obenrader (60 years), Mary Louis Eichenlaub (60 years) and Elizabeth Adams (25 years).
