Sister Mary Miller, OSB, director of Emmaus ministries, was named a “HER Times Extraordinary Woman” for the month of June. HER Times, a monthly supplement to the Sunday Erie-Times-News, created a website to honor women and then a handful of editors chose four women from those nominated. Click here to read the write-up. It is reminder of why Sister Mary is truly an inspiration to many. Those who come in contact with Sister Mary are in no doubt about the mission of Emmaus ministries. Her commitment to the forgotten and the marginal, as well as her reverence for the inherent dignity of each and every person, is extraordinary.
