The Benedictine Sisters of Erie have joined with other members of LCWR Region IV to uphold the LCWR National Board as they meet for deliberations on the CDF (Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith) Doctrinal Assessment findings. To this end the community engaged in a special day of prayer and fasting as a sign of solidarity and support.

We invite you to uphold women religious by praying for and with them. Consider taking a moment to pray this prayer that was written specifically for the leadership of LCWR and translated into several languages so that women religious throughout the world could be united in prayer. This version has been adapted for your use.

Having richly and memorably celebrated Pentecost, the great feast of the Spirit, the Benedictine Sisters of Erie know that the Spirit is alive. Let us together invoke that Spirit to be our hope — the Spirit that unites us as we strive for justice and for peace.
