For Judy the best part of the retreat was “being with a community of searchers under the guidance of Sister Joan.” Barb liked “listening to women who generously opened their hearts and gave voice to their deep thoughts and feelings.” And Kathy left with “a better understanding of Benedictine spirituality.”

These women were describing their experiences at the annual "A Reader’s Retreat with Joan Chittister” hosted by Benetvision, Oct. 16-18, at the Ambassador Conference Center, Erie, PA. The retreat, which is limited to 40 participants, included women from across the states and Canada. For the retreat the group used Sister Joan Chittister’s newly published, The Radical Christian Life: A Year with Saint Benedict (Liturgical Press.)
