The St. Benedict Academy Class of 1961 recently celebrated their 50th class reunion. Held during the last weekend of July, the reunion events included a dinner at the Colony Pub and Grill, a tour of St. Benedict Academy (although the high school closed in 1981, the building now houses Saint Benedict Education Center), a casual get-together at the Plymouth Tavern, and Sunday Liturgy at Mount Saint Benedict Monastery followed by sweet breads, coffee and visiting in the monastery dining room. Class members Heddy Giewont Hellmann, Judy Lynch Allison, Judy Madura Walczak and Jean Walter Fratto served on the planning committee and were assisted by classmates Mary Ellen Kuzma Haynes, Sister Pat Lupo, OSB, Mary Davis and Barbara Kaschak Prescott.
