St. Benedict Education Center (SBEC) was the setting for a special "Thank you to America" program organized by teachers Elma Doric, Taha Najem and Mary Federowicz. Participants included the immigrants and refugees enrolled in the Learning English Proficiency Program at SBEC who have begun a new life in America. This was their way of expressing gratitude to all those who have helped them, especially the teachers and staff at SBEC. It was a memorable afternoon for the immigrants, refugees and guests alike as they celebrated freedom in song, dance, conversation and cultural cuisine.
