Emmaus believes in the value of each person.

At our Food Pantry we distribute emergency food bags every Monday and Tuesday morning to approximately 600 Erie families. We welcome those from the city who are in need. Many who come are elderly on fixed incomes, mothers who head households, unemployed and underemployed without benefits, and others whose government assistance does not adequately feed a family.

Our families may come once a week to receive a bag of groceries. The pantry is staffed by 15 – 20 faithful volunteers. Though we are one of the largest single food providers in Pennsylvania we greet each of our guests by name.
