Special Film Event: Leonardo DiCaprio spotlights the Climate Change Crisis in his chilling new documentary Before the Flood.

The film follows DiCaprio – appointed by the United Nations as a Messengerof Peace – as he travels the world to show how climate change affects all of us, from impoverished communities in India, to the affluent cities of America.

Last fall, every United Nations country signed the Paris Climate Change Accord pledging to reduce their carbon emissions. Now we must all work to assure that the US and every nation follow their agreements.

This 90-minute National Geographic film stresses the responsibility of developed nations like the US in leading the development and use of
renewable energy. And despite irrefutable evidence acknowledging the effects of climate change, the film reminds us of the prevalence of corrupt climate-change-denying individuals and fossil fuel corporations who are intentionally misleading the public for their own financial gains.

The film is being shown without charge to promote interest in the April 29th Peoples Climate Marches here in Erie and in Washington, DC.

Discussion and light refreshments will follow the film until 8pm.

Donations to the Whole Foods C0-0p will be thankfully accepted.
