Carvin Eison is a filmmaker and owner of the production company ImageWordSound, recognized internationally for creating intensely powerful films that explore racial dissonance and social discord in America culture. He has received numerous accolades for his recent projects, to include two Emmy nominations, a national PBS broadcast, and film screenings across the country. He’s an Associate Professor at The College at Brockport, SUNY, and is also General Manager of Rochester’s Community Media Center.

This event is being gifted in memory of Charlene M. Tanner by her loving partner Doris Cipolla. Because of their shared interests in social justice, peace and the environment, it is hoped that this program will inspire others to help create a healing environment for the world.
