Jen Frazer, Postulant

Jen Frazer began the postulancy on Sunday, January 13, 2019. Jen is from the Boston area. She is an artist with a background in theology. Most recently she has been an art teacher and even taught some classes at the Neighborhood Art House during her visits to the community over the past several years. Jen says: “I have spent some short periods of time with the community, and have lived ever so briefly the mission, and witnessed community life in action, and have felt a growing desire for a greater and closer association with the Erie Benedictines.”

Postulancy is the first phase of monastic formation. As a postulant Jen will participate fully in the life of the community. Guided by the Postulant Director, Sister Stephanie Schmidt, she will learn the community history, its vision and values, and have classes on Benedictine spirituality as she continues to discern her vocation.
