No ordinary journey

Life in God is no ordinary journey. It’s a marathon that demands traveling across diverse terrain and through inclement weather but, when God travels with you, the road is made more smooth, as

valleys are filled in,
mountains and hills are made low,
rugged land is made into a plain
and rough country into a broad valley.

When on a mountaintop,

cry out at the top of your voice,
herald the good news

Tell them,

Here is your God!
Yes,
here is your God!

Tell of God's tenderness,

feeding his flock,
gathering lambs in his arms, holding them close
leading with care.

As you journey,

conduct yourself in holiness and devotion,
waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God

for promised is,

a new heaven and a new earth
where righteousness dwells.

Be

eager to be found,
at peace.

Let your life in God be your message.

Let nothing be preferred to the Work of God – Rule of Benedict 43:3
