Chapel Windows IV: Compassion

The Benedictine charism is to seek God as members of a cenobitic community and to respond through prayer and ministry. This charism is reflected in symbol in the beautiful stained glass windows in our chapel.

Compassion is symbolized by crutches and the medical insignia.

We minister to those ill of body, mind, and spirit and enter compassionately into the struggle, pain, and suffering of the world.

Let nothing be preferred to the Work of God – Rule of Benedict 43:3
