Sister Phyllis Schleicher to receive "Women Making History" Award

Sister Phyllis Schleicher has been named by the Mercy Center for Women as one of this year’s "Women Making History." She and 12 other Erie women will be honored at a special event on Wednesday, March 4, 7:00 PM at the Mary D'Angelo Performing Arts Center, Mercyhurst University. The event is free and open to the public.

The thirteen women who have been named “Women Making History” are being recognized for the difference they make as a result of their service to others and contribution to community. “Sister Phyllis has served in many and diverse ways through the years and this award recognizes her rich and significant contributions, especially in her present commitment to Catholic Rural Ministry in which she has served for the past 20 years,” said Sister Anne Wambach, prioress. “We are looking forward to this public celebration that will honor her in such a special way.”
