Catholic Sisters Week 2020

March 8 celebrates the beginning of Catholic Sisters Week. The theme: Communities of Spirit, Hearts for Ministry, will shine the spotlight on women religious. This week, March 8 - 14, provides an opportunity to celebrate Catholic Sisters--their presence and the ministries they uphold in service to the people of God throughout the world.

Catholic Sisters Week (formerly National Catholic Sisters Week) is now under the direction of Communicators for Women Religious (CWR). It is a week to be mindful of religious women who have served and who continue to serve in many and varied ways. The Erie Benedictines seek God in community and respond in prayer and ministry. Our ministries serve the people of Erie. “We are grateful to be a presence and respond to the needs of God’s people, especially the poor and the marginalized,” said Sister Anne Wambach, prioress. “We strive to glorify God in all that we do.”
