December 12: Vigil for Immigrant Children

On Thursday, December 12, there will be a vigil for immigrant children at the Federal Building, State Street and South Park Row, 4:30 PM. We gather together in the name of these children, created by God, and held in harm—children who have been separated from their parents and whose human dignity and rights have been violated.

December 12, the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, is a special day. In 2016 the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops named this Feast Day a day of prayer in solidarity with immigrants and refugees. Throughout Advent, and especially on this feast, we ask the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, whose heart beats with care for the vulnerable. We pray for an end to the abuse and trauma of immigrant children.

Consider joining us on December 12. Let us vigil together for immigrant children.
