Two Opportunities Available

Benedictines for Peace are hosting their July Silent Peace Walk as scheduled on Thursday, July 18, from 7-7:30 pm at Wallace Playground, Corner of East Front and Wallace Streets. In this area where children play, the walk in prayer and silence is a response to the escalating tensions and divisiveness present in our country and our world. Click here to download a flyer.

We also are promoting a second event happening at the same time: Journey to the Border. The Sisters of St. Joseph will be hosting a presentation by three women from Erie about their recent trip to the U.S./Mexico border. Two of their Agrégées, Deb Seng and Betsy Wiest, along with Patrice Swick of the Erie Diocese spent two weeks volunteering with Annunciation House to help refugees who had been released from Border Patrol. They will be speaking about their experiences during those two weeks on Thursday, July 18 at 7:00 pm at the SSJ Living Center, 5031 West Ridge Road. Click here to download a flyer.

Both of these are valuable opportunities and we hope you will be able to attend one of them.
