Sister Pat Lupo, a steadfast advocate for environmental education, was the keynote speaker at the November Resilient Erie Sustainability Summit. "If you had the pleasure of attending the event," said Joy Knapp, Co-chair Northwest PA Green Economy Task Force (NWPAGE), "then you know exactly how Sr. Pat and her Green Teams are making Erie more resilient."

In it she describes the work of the young volunteers who make up her Green Team and Weed Warriors. When asked why she does what she does, Sister Pat was quick to answer: "For me it’s important to work with young people and give them knowledge about all the things the earth has to offer, and then motivate them to action . . . kids can be a great agent of change in the community motivating adults to action."
