March 22, 2020: Day of Worldwide Solidarity and Prayer

The International Union of Superiors General (UISG) has called for Sunday, March 22 to be a day of Worldwide Solidarity and Prayer. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic we, the Erie Benedictines, join our prayer with all Catholic sisters throughout the world who are facing this pandemic along with all those whom they serve.

In the psalms of our Morning Prayer, we prayed: “Preserve us, God, we take shelter in you.” We continue to offer that prayer as we stand with women religious throughout the world. Our sense of a global sisterhood remains a source of strength and support as we move through these challenging times.

Let us be ever mindful of those most in need as we continue to uphold all people throughout the world in prayer.
