Maria Shriver shares her thoughts about the Erie Benedictines

Maria Shriver just released a new book: I've Been Thinking... Reflections, Prayers and Meditations for a Meaningful Life. In it she offers quotes, prayers and reflections for dealing with the everyday stresses of life.

During a recent interview on NBC TODAY she was asked about her connection to the Benedictine Sisters of Erie.

After viewing the segment Sister Marilyn Schauble, Vocation Director, had this to say: “To see ourselves through another’s eyes can be moving and empowering. I found Maria’s affirmation to be very touching and inspiring.”

Sister Anne Wambach, prioress, was equally touched: “We are so humbled by Maria’s perception of us and her relationship with Sister Joan Chittister,” she said. “The part about the Erie Benedictines is a small segment in a larger interview that in its entirety reveals Maria’s wisdom and deep understanding of what gives life purpose and meaning. I am looking forward to reading her book.”
