Mission Accomplished

And they did it! Congratulations to all who participated in Cycling with Sisters--We're on a Mission Together, a social justice, cycling and social media pilgrimage. The group arrived at Horseshoe Falls in Canada after a day of cycling that covered 100+ miles and several stops to pray and bring awareness to the social justice work of Catholic sisters and their collaborators.

The group was spearheaded by Stephanie Hall (Communication Director for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Northwest, PA) and Sister Linda Romey, OSB (Web Developer and Marketing Consultant), both members of the Communicators for Women Religious (CWR). “Our arrival was amazing,” shared Sister Linda. “The CWR board was there waiting for us...it was very emotional.”

Sister Linda and Stephanie will be staying in Horseshoe Falls to attend the CWR annual conference for the rest of this week. They were supported in their desire to cycle from Erie to Canada by a number of others who joined the endeavor and completed the trip, among them several with Benedictine connections.

“We are so proud of all the cyclists,” said Sister Anne Wambach, prioress. “It was a huge undertaking and they did it with intention and purpose, commitment and stamina, grace and humor. Thank you, one and all!”
