Monastery Closes to Visitors as of March 16

With an abundance of care and concern, the Benedictine Sisters of Erie are taking precautionary measures in the face of the current pandemic that has overwhelmed the world in which we live. As of Monday, March 16, the monastery will be closed to visitors for a period of three weeks. This includes, but is not limited to, Saturday Lenten Vigils, Sunday Eucharist and the upcoming Feast of Benedict.

At the end of three weeks time, we will reevaluate the situation and discern how to proceed. Updates will be posted on our website and Facebook pages.

We uphold you and your families in prayer and ask that you do the same for one another and for us.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Let us remain hopeful that we will soon see an end to this pandemic.

Gratefully,
Sister Anne Wambach
Prioress
