National Catholic Sisters Week Continues

The celebration and coverage of National Catholic Sisters Week continues through the 14th of March. Erie Times News reporter Dana Massing wrote a wonderful article about the sisters who were honored as women of justice: Their legacy has been changing their corner of the world. Now they’ll be recognized for it. Click here to read it.

Stephanie Hall, Director of Communications for the Sisters of St. Joseph NWPA recently wrote “As we celebrate Women Who Are Called, let’s remember that we are all called. God calls us all to an empathetic and compassionate response to the pain of others. And, no matter how daunting the work may seem, our passionate response will surely make a difference.” Click here to read her article in Sunday’s Erie Times news: Catholic Sisters Week reminds us we are all called.

The Sunday celebration of Women Who Are Called honoring Sisters Marlene Bertke, OSB, Rita Brocke, RSM and Mary Claire Kennedy, SSJ, was an afternoon to remember. Photos coming soon! In the meantime be sure to check out the brief video recap at the top of the home page.
