Penny Contest Benefits Emmaus Ministries

Each year the students at Collegiate Academy hold a “penny war” where homerooms compete to raise money for a local organization that was selected by the student council. This year Emmaus Ministries was the student choice and Sister Mary Miller, director of Emmaus, attended a presentation ceremony where she received a check for over $1,000. That’s a lot of pennies.
