Soup-er Bowl benefits Emmaus Ministries

The employees at ACL Labs celebrated two times over last Friday, enjoying homemade soup and giving the proceeds to Emmaus Ministries.

For the past three years, staff of about 30 employees at the main lab of Associated Clinical Laboratories on Peach Street have prepared their own soup and desserts for a special Soup-er Bowl luncheon the Friday before the Super Bowl. Each employee pays for their lunch, and the proceeds benefit the Emmaus Soup Kitchen.

Noelle Stephenson and Danni Nola, from ACL, came to offer the group’s donation, more than $300, telling us, “Each year, the event gets bigger. The first year we made eight soups, last year ten, and now thirteen. Everyone wants to be a part of a fun gathering, especially when it benefits an important cause.”
