A Thanksgiving Wish

When we listen to the world’s news and see the escalation of violence and the hopelessness of refugees, the California fires that have wreaked havoc with the lives of thousands and taken many lives too soon, the realities of climate change and the oppression of inequality . . . and all the things that cause sadness and despair, it would be easy to lose track of the many blessings in our lives. We, the Benedictine Sisters of Erie, will celebrate Thanksgiving with mindfulness and gratitude for our family, friends, benefactors, community—and the love that reaches out and touches us in so many ways. We place our faith in the God who never fails us in our hope and we give thanks for all that is and all that is yet to be. We wish you a memorable day of peace and thanks-giving.
